Bring Phone Jumper Cables into the World
After lots of research and interviews, it is apparent to me and many other people that we are in need of phone jumper cables to transfer battery juice from one person's phone to the other. This invention has become necessary since more and more people are becoming dependent on their smartphones, resulting in them blowing through their battery before the day ends. The solution to this issue is to get some company to invent phone jumper cables to transfer battery juice. After interviewing some people, I want to make sure this invention can accommodate people of all main types of smartphones. This would expand the market to reach a wider variety of people who are affected by this growing issue. I would want college campuses to be the first ones exposed to this idea in order to fully test it's capability and potential. This jumper cable would allow students to avoid wasting their time finding a power outlet, and they could easily just use their friend's phone to jump their's. There are still some bugs that would have to be worked out, but these are the first steps that can be taken to make sure students get through the day at school without their phone dying.

ReplyDeleteI really like the idea for the opportunity that you proposed! I think smartphone jumper cables would be such a smart idea to invent for people to give their phone an extra amount of battery life in those desperate situations of not finding a power outlet. Even making it so it is attached to a cable that allows the cord to be also plugged into an outlet would be an additive to the invention. I think your test market of college students would be smart, but also going further and trying to get people in busy careers to utilize them as well. I imagine someone in New York on a subway looking to "jump" their phone and them just pulling out their phone jumper cables, then they could just kindly ask someone for some battery life from someone else's phone to theirs!

ReplyDeleteReading about your idea was pretty cool because I've never heard of it before! I think being able to transfer battery life from phone to phone comes in handy when attending theme parks and music festivals because sometimes portable chargers are too big to bring in. It's also a cheaper alternative to portable chargers (which can cost up to $50), and having a cord sold for way less is more attractive to customers. The only tricky thing would be convincing a friend to give you their battery life, LOL.
