Testing the Hypothesis Part 2

Testing the Hypothesis Part 2

In this set of interviews, instead of targeting college students who are always running out of battery, I decided to talk to different employees / workers around UF to see if they have this same need for a solution to running out of phone battery.  I chose this group because I figured while they're working during the day they may not be running low on battery because they aren't using their phones as much.  After interviewing UF workers and employees, I came to notice that this need is mainly meant for students or people who are able to use their phones throughout the whole day.  The "why" for this is mainly because these workers aren't able to use their phones as much while they are on the job.

Inside the Boundary
Outside the Boundary
Who:  College students or adults who are using their phone on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Who:  Students, workers, adults, etc. who are too busy doing other things in order to be using their phones all day.
What:  A solution to the low-battery crisis that so many students and other adults run into on a daily basis.
What:  There is no need for a solution to the low-battery crisis that hits so many people in the middle of the day.
Why:  This need exists because of today’s culture of everyone being so dependent on their phones for nearly everything they do in their daily lives.
Why:  There is no need for a solution because the “who” here is not using their phones too much throughout the whole day which is the reason why the low-battery crisis exists.   There is no need for them to worry about this issue, because they will never run into it in the first place.

    1. Hi Sean,
This was an interesting observation that you made about mobile phone consumption. After interviewing these people outside of the boundary, it seems like low-battery crisis is definitely a bigger issue for college students because of how often they use their phones throughout the day. However, I think that it is still important to recognize that there are many adults who are constantly on their mobile phone for work related issues so this opportunity seems to exist for a slighter larger group than first recognized.
